Great time in Big Sky

The owners were well organized, and checked in frequently to make sure all was well. We highly recommend them. Our only minor concern was that the dishes were quite dirty upon arrival. My guess is that the dishwasher was not run and the cleaning crew put them away unaware that they hadn’t been cleaned. Other than that, this is a lovely home run by lovely people.

The road to access the property might be challenging for some, but the location is worth it. Proximity to Beehive Basin Trail was a plus. We had a wonderful vacation in Blue Sky and this unit did not disappoint! It is so conveniently located to just about everything we needed. It is very well equipped from kitchen supplies, to beach towels(for the hot tub!), to tissue, paper towels, garbage bags, foil, etc. I was with my grown children, 1 daughter-in-law and a girlfriend and we all slept comfortably and had plenty of room in the living area. This is a beautiful place and I would recommend staying here!

Very responsive Two Pines property management. Internet went out on a Saturday morning, but Two Pines was all over it - had it fixed right away. Surprised at how quick they responded and took care of it. Would easily choose to stay here again.

Best winter vacation
by Emily B.Can’t remember if I already wrote a review but this place definitely deserves 5 stars so I’m willing to write another one! We spent a week here in February, 2021. A couple friends and family members stayed with us and we all had a blast. The home is perfectly close to the Meadow village and a 10-15 min drive to the mountain. The fireplace was lovely and the kitchen had everything we needed. We got married here and hope to come back many times for our anniversary. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

The dinning area, kitchen and fireplace is all open and a great place to hangout in the morning and apres ski. To ski, just cross the street and hop onto the t-bar and you are right there.

My party stayed at this ski-in/out lodge and had a wonderful time! The home was beautifully decorated, well stocked/supplied, and immaculate upon arrival. Two Pines checked in to make sure everything was satisfactory at the beginning of the stay and promptly responded to all questions. They also checked-in a few times before our stay to make sure that we were set for our trip; especially reminding us to reserve our ski tickets. Absolutely Breathtaking Views, Perfect Ski In/ Out!
by Jacklyn C.You will not be disappointed at all. The views are breathtaking! The pictures do no justice to seeing in in real life. Watching the sunrise rise in the morning was my favorite. The ski in/ out was perfect for our family. If I wanted to leave a little later in the day, I didn't feel rushed at all. Definitely a trip you want to take! Hiking, Skiing, Zip Lining, reading a book on the deck, sitting int he hot tub relaxing and enjoying the views. I cant say enough about this family trip.

Lights on and music playing when we arrived. Kitchen had plenty of cooking utensils and appliances. Wood burning fireplace was ideal and plenty of dry wood to use. It took overnight for the hot tub to warm but was wonderful after our days on the Big Sky slopes. Thanks again Twin Pines!

Black Bear #3 was exactly as advertised. Large open floor plan with all the amenities of home and then some. Wood burning fireplace brought it all together after a long day skiing and the hot tub was perfect. Access to the mountain was quick and easy via the Bear Back Poma Lift just steps from the front door. Having a garage with heated glove and boot dryers was magnificent. This property was everything we hoped it would be and more.

Prior to Covid, I traveled the world on the road 6 months a year and I've stayed at a lot of rentals and dealt with a lot of rental companies. This was my best experience to date! We stayed at 210 B Pheasant Tail Lane in Big Sky which is a Two Pines property. The house was INCREDIBLE and every detail was perfect. From the lights on with music playing when we walked in, to the plush towels to all the kitchen essentials you could need and more. They didn't spare a detail. We will absolutely be coming back and will always go through Two Pines.

This was our familys first time staying at a Two Pines Property at Big Sky, MT. We stayed from the end of December through New Years Day. The place is absolutely beautiful, and the location is so close and convenient to anything you might need, such as the grocery store, town, and the ski slopes. It was exceptionally clean, both the house and hot tub. We were given all of the information ahead of time, all my questions were answered, and it was extremely organized. They supplied everything we needed, from kitchen basics to hot tub towels. Everyone was quick to respond and very helpful. by Paul J.We stayed here for a summer visit to Big Sky. The upscale condo was very comfortable and gave our group of 5 plenty of space to spread out. Bedroom and bathroom layout worked very well. Great mountain views off the back porches, and great location. Easy 2-3 minute drive from the town center, but just far enough away to be calmer and quieter than being right in the downtown area. Unexpected bonus was the long walking / running trail that runs right next to these condos. We used the trail daily.

My family stayed in this unit this past summer and absolute loved it! Its was fresh and clean, modern and spacious. The basement is a great space for the kids to separate and do their own thing. The surrounding amenities were wonderful! A boutiquey town center with shopping and great restaurants within walking distance. We also walked out the door and down the road for a beautiful hike to Ousel Falls. We look forward to returning this winter to ski Big Sky.

We thoroughly enjoyed our late Sep visit to 210B Pheasant Tail. The location made it easy to jump back on Hwy 191 for our hiking and fishing adventures in the area. The driveway and large garage made it easy to 'gear down' after returning back to the house at which point we often opted for the 5-to-7 minute walk to town for a cold beer or take-out dinner. A few little things in the kitchen like the gas range and drip/K-cup coffee maker made it easy to whip breakfast and get ready for the day. The dining area and counter stools made it easy for grown-up's and kids to have plenty of room at dinner, and we enjoyed having the living area's TV on a pivot bracket to watch playoff basketball and baseball. The upstairs bedrooms were comfortable and had enough room for a kid or two to camp out on the floor had we needed the option (we didn't). Waking up with a view of the ridges above town was pretty cool for our group of East Coasters. The bunks in the basement looked brand new, and the configuration in the basement created an awesome kids' cave. We're looking forward to returning during ski season to enjoy the in-town, winter vibe.

I stayed at this property from September 30 through October 4. The property was very nice. It is essentially brand new. There were four of us and I stayed in the Master bedroom which was very comfortable and a walk in closet made it convenient for all of my luggage. The bed was very good and the family/living area was spacious and very livable. The lower level was great for kids with four bunk beds, a pull out queen sleeper sofa and a day bed with a pull out trundle. There is a nice bathroom and shower on the lower level as well. The room with the bunk beds is separate from the living area and other part of the lower level so girls and boys can have separate areas. The kitchen is new and well furnished and the garage had plenty of room for our fly fishing equipment and will have room for skis and other snow jackets and equipment. The entire condo is very bright with plenty of sunlight and great views of the mountains. The second bedroom upstairs has a deck and tub/shower and also very comfortable. It is easy walking distance to restaurants and shops in the Meadows. We will be returning to this place. The outdoor terrace is great for after skiing or fishing and has ample room. It is hard to find a condo that can handle 4-8 kids comfortably as well as four adults for this price. I highly recommend this home.

We loved the area and have been before but not with the in-town experience. We are open to looking at properties and discussed when we were visiting. We would like more privacy than the townhouse BUT the proximity to the in-town amenities (and Gallatin) are key! Our use would be summer use -- we would rent for the ski season. This is a long shot and would take the perfect place but we were very happy and would consider the investment now.

We drove from the property to Big Sky Resort for skiing 6 days in a row during prime ski season - the drive to the ski area was beautiful as well as super easy and quick with free parking at Big Sky. by James S.Although we normally opt for ski-in/ski-out cabins, we were fortunate to find this not-so-little gem in Big Sky for a recent week-long ski vacation. It had everything we needed and with much higher-quality than the vast majority of rentals. It was like staying at a (wealthy) friend's home. A home with a garage. The first impression of the condo is that it is large, clean, and beautiful. Melanie Turner-style Montana decor abounds with handsome rugs, candles, and blankets. With just a little more exploring, you find that everything is owner-quality. The large kitchen has Thermador appliances and is stocked with top-shelf cookware and flatware. The washer and dryer were modern, cavernous, and clean. The hot tub was spotless. The mattresses and pillows were high-quality, which is nearly unheard of for a rental. The master closet was the size of a small bedroom and the master shower could easily accommodate two people. In terms of location, it is within easy walking distance of a wide selection of shops, grocery stores, and restaurants. Although it is located close to a main thoroughfare, the condo's hot tub had a privacy fence and room fans maintain enough background noise to mask what little traffic sounds there were. Other than having to do a little driving to the resort, this property far exceeded our expectations!

We cannot say enough positive things about this property! It is absolutely gorgeous and even more beautiful than the photos reflect. It's very spacious and cozy at the same time! The rooms are very well-appointed and everything you need for a comfortable stay is right at your fingertips. We loved the floor plan - everyone gets some privacy but the living/kitchen area is open and so welcoming for family and friends. We loved the private hot tub (which worked perfectly) and the kitchen is fabulous. We never cook on our ski vacations but everyone was inspired to stay home and prepare meals a few of the nights with the roaring fire in the background! The condo has a garage and a nice mudroom for your gear. Beautiful and comfortable condo. The customer service is top notch. Easy check out. They ask you to do some things like strip your beds and wash towels if you have time, but if you don't, you are not penalized. A TV in every room with Netflix. No hot tub. Would stay here again.

Hot tub view was fantastic and much needed after long days of powder skiing. We had unbelievable, epic snow while we were there & the skiing was fantastic. A little difficult the first few times to find our way back to the house on the ski runs but we did eventually figure it out. Only got lost once, LOL! Would recommend when there is a lot of snow to make sure there is sand bags in the garage available , as the driveway was difficult to get out of if it hadn’t been plowed. We would definitely stay here again and hope we can make it happen again soon!

Best Property EVER!
by Cameron N.I have a group of twelve 40 something year old men that have skied together for 16 years. We have rented houses in Aspen, Park City, Revelstoke, Jackson, Big Sky, and Whistler. This property was the best from every aspect. Property manager was attentive and helpful. The kitchen had everything a big group would want and all appliances are very high end. The finish of the house is an A+. The views are incredible. Ski in/out is perfect, although the trails could be better marked to get back to the house. But, don't plan to go back for lunch because it will take some planning to get there because it is not central to any part of the mountain. Instead, eat on mountain, bring it with you, or back to the house for an extended lunch. Hot tub comfortably fits 5-6. Garage is massive. 4x4 is a MUST if there is any snow/ice in the driveway or on the way up. All bedding is perfect. Deck is huge. House lived up to the BIG in Big Sky. The house is situated away from the village, so plan on a car ride of 10 minutes to get to the main village. Big Sky doesn't have shuttles, buses, taxis, or Uber/Lyft that is reliable, so plan on having a car. The house is best used for big groups that plan to stay in or close to home. Night life is almost non-existent. If you want a rowdy, fun apres ski scene or nightly bar scene, go to Aspen, Whistler, Vail, or Steamboat. The mountain is HUGE, but it has everything you would want if you are a beginner or expert. Lift lines were were 0 to 10 minutes and keep in mind the conditions were EPIC. Most of our crew loves steeps/expert terrain and Big Sky more than accommodated. I have skied Jackson a total of 7 days and have yet to get fresh tracks after 11am. Big Sky still had fresh tracks and lightly tracked snow after 2-3 days. Why? A lot of beginners here so they stay away from ANY non groomed areas and there are just fewer people. Better steeps/double blacks than Jackson and Snowbird--that says it all. Hope you enjoy it like we did!

We stopped at the grocery store and picked up all we needed to cook dinners every night. Hot tub was a hit! Quiet on the inside of the cabin, so we hardly heard anything outside. Just a short walk (75 feet) to the end of the driveway to get on the slopes.

by Andrew M.Our group arrived at the property with no issues. The directions provided by the owner were clear and easy to follow, and Google Maps also takes you to the right spot. When we arrived, the home was in great condition - neat, clean, and warm. We found everything we needed for a great experience. The kitchen was fully equipped, laundry equipment in good working order, beds & bathrooms clean, furniture in great condition, and even a couple of boot warmers - a nice surprise since our first morning on the slopes was -15°F! The TVs and WiFi service were functional and met our needs with no issues. Access to the nearest ski lift requires a short walk through the parking lot (past some neighboring condos). A short access path is located adjacent to the garages, leading to a very quick ski down to the Pony Express lift. From there, you can ski down to the Madison Base area directly, or ski to the Iron Horse lift and easily head to anywhere else on the mountain. Returning back to the property requires a bit of planning and looking at the trail map (a couple of the trails don't have signs), but it can be done quite easily in one green/blue run from the top of Six Shooter, Iron Horse, Swift Current, or Shedhorn lifts - or any of the higher lifts. We found the location to be ideal and were impressed with the flexibility that it provided us in exploring the mountain. Overall, we had a great experience, with perfect snow conditions and great accommodations. The next time we head to Big Sky, we'd be quite happy staying here again!

Things like ziploc bags, coffee filters, laundry detergent and dryer sheets. It was very welcoming. The condo itself is probably 50ft from the White Wing run that takes you to the Explorer 2 easily, or into Mountain Village with a little extra work. At the end of the day you can ski almost directly up to the condo and leave your skis and boots in the heated garage. We chose to stage all of our ski equipment in the garage so didn't use it for parking...though I'm not sure our rental extra long suburban would have fit. The kitchen is nicely appointed with newer appliances, internet works great, Direct TV worked perfectly as well. The beds were comfortable, including the new pull out sofa, the water for the showers was nice and hot, and there was a seemingly endless supply of towels. The owners/managers also took care to provide hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, lots of extra toilet paper, kleenex, and paper towels. This condo really was close to perfect. After discussing with the group, it was decided only two additional, albeit small, things would have been nice. First, some hooks on the back of the bathroom doors for towels and robes. Second, a boot dryer in the garage. Other than that we couldn't think of anything we would change. The week spent here was great and we will absolutely rent this condo again when we come back to Big Sky. I wholeheartedly recommend this condo and Two Pines Properties who diligently answered all our questions and ensured we had the best time possible in Big Sky. They have great pots and pans, not the cheap ones most rentals provide and they bountifully supply other amenities such shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Plenty of extra blankets, sheets, pillows. Wonderful views from the back deck and house has close access to many hiking trails. We went to one of the villages and took the chairlift up the mountain. This house was incredible. The views were magnificent, the property was spacious, and we had everything we needed for a fun mountain weekend. The location is perfect for hiking Beehive Basin and is a short drive to Big Sky mountain and Gallatin River. I imagine the road can get a little treacherous in the winter but if plowed and with 4WD you should be fine. by Graeme I.We arrived in a snowstorm and had some difficulty finding the place (more user error than anything else). Happily, the lights were on and it was welcoming & warm inside. The property is ideally located for ski-in/ski-out although the ski-out is a very short (20 yd) slightly uphill hike and a short ski down to the Pony Express lift (which is a misnomer - there is nothing "express" about it). The condo is on the Madison side of the mountain which tends to be less busy than the Village side, although there were no lines to speak of anywhere, even during the school vacation week. Big Sky is the country's best kept secret. Long may it remain so. The condo is charmingly decorated and the Two Pines Property service were quick to respond to a couple of minor issues (even on the Sunday of our arrival). I would definitely recommend the property for a family (or even two families) with kids. We would certainly consider staying there again.

A very comfortable living area, and we love those beautiful dining and bar stool chairs! Plenty closet space. My friends loved the bean bag chairs too! There were SO many hooks to hang our outerwear, and we very much appreciate that as other properties we've rented have barely any room to take off boots and hang up ski jackets/pants! The garage was very nice to have, especially storing the snowboards on the board rack, which was a nice organized feature. Thank you very much. by Lance W.I've stayed at probably 15 or so VBRO or other house/condo rentals and this one was top 3 for sure. Everything works. Everything was clean upon arrival. All needs are where you might put them at home. Kitchen I used to cook all meals for 6, and it was a pleasure to do so. Even plastic for kids, glassware for adults, and crystal stemware for the fine wine! Impressive. Washer and dryer perfect. Home away from home. Rooms are comfortable and extra pillows and crib and humidifiers all there and working. Bottom line, all commends and no complaints.

The 5 of us had a great time at this awesome ski in/out vacation rental. The house has everything that you need and was very spacious. It is just a few steps from the Pony Express which was very convenient. The owner was very responsive and accommodating. We were welcomed with a $100 gift card to use at the Big Sky Resort. We were disappointed we did not get to use the hot tub the first night because of the water temperature but it was fixed for us to use for the rest of our stay. We loved our stay and can't wait to come back again soon!

Where do I even start? This place is phenomenal, and I'm not just talking about the views from literally every window in the home. If you're looking for easy accessibility to any/all Big Sky mountain activities, I couldn't think of a better place stay. The residential ski lift drops you off within feet of the house and within seconds from warming up in the hot tub. The town is a quick drive down the road, but we honestly never had a desire to leave unless outdoor winter activities like skiing/snowboarding, snow shoeing or dog sledding were calling. Additional stand out amenities include a clutch boot warmer, outdoor grill, surround sound Sonos throughout the house, foosball table, individual lockers to store gear and a sizable bunk room, to say the least. It's worth noting that on the last day of vacation rentals, especially with larger groups, there is typically a lot of clean-up and tidying to do, like stripping sheets, starting dish washers, etc. but with this home, we had the luxury of just shutting the door on our way out. It couldn't have been a more simple exit; albeit, we never really wanted to say goodbye. Our group of ~17 felt right at home, and look forward to our return!

Lots of Beds, Bathrooms , and Beverage space!
by Bob K.We are a group of 5 or 6 guys, all +50 who come together from all over the country each Spring to ski at Big Sky. We have stayed at perhaps 10 different properties over the last 20 years and can rate this place as one of the best. So here's why we liked it: Big bedrooms, and even bigger bathrooms. The ensuite bathrooms were great , yet able to be shared if needed. The loft area outside the bedrooms was a comfortable overflow sleeping area with unexpected arrivals. The seating in the Great Room was excellent: we watch a lot of NCAA hoops and we all had comfortable seating and great viewing on a large screen TV.The kitchen was stocked with what we needed to cook and even had a coffee grinder. The garage refrigerator was really nice to have as well. There is a nice hot tub on the deck, easily accessible and great full towels to take outside when you need them. The garage was big and took both our Suburban and a smaller SUV with room to load and unload. Finally, the property manager was responsive to our questions and was available to help when/if we needed it. The building is well built, the fixtures all work, and the ceiling fan in the Great Room really adds to the comfort of those sleeping upstairs.

FIVE OUT OF FIVE STARS! Thats how we rate Two Pines Properties and the beautiful home that we rented, Lazy Moose Lodge. From the outset, we could tell that Two Pines cares about its renters and owners. Their attention to detail was unparalleled and their willingness to go above and beyond was unmatched. The smallest details did not go unnoticed. The property is true ski-in/out. Its large enough that you will never feel cramped. The views from the floor to ceiling glass windows are absolutely amazing and the kitchen is ready for any master chef. We used the kitchen almost every night, which was perfect for the meat that we picked up at the Meat Shoppe in Bozeman. This house had seemingly limitless benefits. Perhaps the biggest hit among our group was the boot warmer/dryer. Every morning we hit the slopes with nice warm boots. For those of you that ski, you know how hard it can be to put cold boots on. Well, let me tell you, we melted into our boots each morning with ease. The hot tub was perfect after a long hard day of skiing. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are spacious. The great room was perfect for relaxing with a book (or a laptop for uploading your video of your crazy run down Stump Farm). If you are a fan or architecture, this home is pretty incredible, with beam ceilings, reclaimed wood furnishings, and a massive stone fireplace. Clearly no expense was spared and no consideration went without a thought, from plentiful firewood, to a back garage door for easy slope access. As you can probably tell, we highly recommend Two Pines and LML. Im sure we are leaving something out, but perhaps that is a good thing. Those are the things that you can discover and experience on your own. We could easily imagine this home in any season, but for us it was truly a ski experience! Ive given Two Pines permission to use me as a reference. Feel free to contact me for a true first hand review of our experience.

The hot tub was great on those chilly nights too. We really enjoyed our trip and will definitely be back. It was a pleasure working with Alex and she suggested lots of local activities to do while we were there, and every one was perfect!
