Welcome to 165 Blacktail Buck! This newly furnished townhome is centrally located in Big Sky's town center. It is the perfect headquarters for your summer and winter adventures in Big Sky. Big Sky Resort is a quick 10-minute drive up the mountain, Lone Mountain Ranch is a 2 mile drive away.

If you’re even remotely outdoorsy, summer in Big Sky is paradise. Waterfalls are flowing, wildflowers are in bloom, the weather is perfect, and every outdoor pursuit imaginable is at your fingertips. Yellowstone National Park is only an hour long drive along the Gallatin River. Fly fishing in the Gallatin River is also a great and easily accessible activity here.

In the summer you may also enjoy walking to Town Center events such as the Big Sky Farmers Market and Music in the Mountains Concert Series, along with Big Sky's premier event the PBR Rodeo.

For those looking to explore the local trails, the trailhead for the "Hummocks" and "Uplands" trails is about 3/4 of a mile from the townhome. These trails are perfect for hiking or mountain biking and are fun for all skill levels! If you are looking for a relaxing spot to enjoy a coffee or ice cream cone, take a seat on the patio at the local grocery store "Hungry Moose Market and Deli" and soak in the sun. You are also just a 17 minute drive to the Beehive Basin Trailhead.

You may find yourself at BASE gym in Big Sky, where they provide indoor pickle ball courts, and rock walls, as well as activities for the little ones. There is also a tennis/pickle ball court of Big Sky that is free to use outdoors when the weather allows. At the end of a long day take a soak in the private outdoor hot tub!

In the Winter, this central location provides prime access to a multitude of Big Sky's winter activities! If you are looking to downhill ski, take a short ten-minute drive up the hill to Big Sky Resort, home of the "Biggest Skiing in America!" This home does not have air conditioning.

Most homes in Big Sky don't, thanks to our typically mild summer temperatures. For a true Montana experience, we recommend our classic "Montana A/C": open the windows at night to let in the cool mountain air, then close them and draw the blinds first thing in the morning to keep the cool air inside throughout the remainder of the day.

Transportation to Big Sky from Bozeman Airport
In order to experience all that Big Sky has to offer, it is helpful to have access to a vehicle during your stay. This allows you to travel seamlessly throughout the community from the Gallatin River to Lone Peak. While ride-sharing and taxi services are abundant in other communities, Big Sky remains a small town with limited options for transportation.
