Winter Activities
Winter in Big Sky is unforgettable! Whether you ski, snowboard, or prefer snowshoeing... we have something for you!
No lift lines are no longer as imaginary as the abominable snowman. Big Sky Resort and Madison Basin have teamed up to provide the biggest ski able terrain in North America. We bet you can`t explore all 220 runs and 110 miles in just one trip. As far as vertical goes, we`ve got the blue ribbon for that too offering our skiers 4,350 feet of it. Powder days are more like powder weeks with 400 inches annually. There is a reason Montana is nicknamed, `The last best place` and why Big Sky Resort is known to have the `Biggest Skiing in America.` |

For over 35 years the Lone Mountain Ranch Sleigh Ride dinner has been a cherished tradition. Guests are transported on horse drawn sleighs under star light skies to the North Fork cabin. A very special prime rib dinner is served family-style in a room illuminated by oil lanterns and rounded out by the tunes of a cowboy musician. A festive atmosphere is fueled by the warmth of a 100 year old railroad cook stove and the close camaraderie of the dinner guests. The Lone Mountain Ranch Sleigh Ride embodies the wintertime spirit of Montana like no other. |
